While traveling Throughout South Africa last year, we drove a portion of the Garden Route of South Africa — a drive along the N2 Highway to Storms River Village Around the Eastern Cape from Mossel Bay.
Regarded as one of the world’s most scenic paths, I couldn’t agree more.
Along with beaches, shark cage diving, along with whale watching, there are lots of safari opportunities along the Garden Route. Of these, the Gondwana Game Reserve sticks out as a reminder of why South Africa has become one of my favourite destinations.

Let us be fair, it’s tough to win against the huge expanse of land which forms Kruger National Park, however there’s just another (albeit smaller) slice of paradise in the Western Cape called Gondwana Game Reserve. The park is the only Big Five Fynbos book on the planet — a terrain of shrubland that is flowery.
There are over 8,700 plant species in this section of the Cape Floral Region! For this, it had been announced one of the world’s 34 biodiversity’hot spots’, and as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was validated in 2004. The publication won the World Travel Award as the Best Nature Expertise of South Africa for 2012.
The park is only 25 minutes from Mossel Bay, or even a four-hour drive from Cape Town, which makes it perfect for travelers who want to experience the amazing outdoors. Gondwana Game Reserve boasts views of the Langeberg Mountains. The best part is that you’ll never be too much from Garden Route attractions such as surfing, sailing and coastal towns, championship golf courses, along with vineyards.
The Gondwana Game Reserve is home to over 10 antelope species, including the endangered Cape Mountain Zebra, black rhinoceros, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, and hippo. Due to its collection of activities, the Gondwana Game Reserve is excellent for households or couple.
On an open vehicle game drive, you may enjoy the park with Big Five. Nature hikes, guided walking safaris and horseback safaris are included by outside experiences. Children aren’t left out. Children ages 6-12 will combine the Junior Ranger Experience where they will take part in educational game drives and activities.
The Gondwana Spa comes with a menu of attractiveness, body, and massage therapies when the time arrives to unwind. Golfers will enjoy becoming a mere 20 minutes away from winner golf courses. Guests of Gondwana get preferential golf speed.
The five-star accommodations of gondwana include personal bush villas for homes and stand lodges for couples. There are 14 Kwena Lodges, each with luxurious furnishings and. Their dome-shaped design is based on the traditional Khoi-San hut (residence of South Africa’s indigenous shrub people). The insides are anything but basic. Every Kwena Lodge provides panoramic views of the two watering holes as well as the lush landscape. Skylights allow visitors to star gaze in the night, whereas fireplaces assist them get hot and cozy after a long day of game viewing.
